Yesterday after my post on “Is Social Media, Marketing?” I got an email from my good friend Julie with a subject line that read “Food for Thought”:
Was reading your blog today (nice post BTW) and something struck me – your “about me” description doesn’t match the style and feel of your posts. Your writing is witty and thoughtful, but this section reminds me of something you might see on LinkedIn taken from a resume.
First, getting a compliment on my writing from Julie is a huge honor, second there are only a few people I know who give me constructive feedback that is dead right each time, Julie is one of those people.
Last night I started writing a more descriptive, witty and thoughtful version of my “About” page…and it SUCKED.
I need your help. Some of you have known me simply by reading this blog, some of you have known me since high school and even longer. Please help me recreate the my “About” page by filling in the blank for one of the two questions below in any form or media you wish:
Kyle is _________________________________.
Engage in PR is about _________________________________.
I’m going to collect it all and we will have a new About page for and by us all!
Thanks Jules!
