Social Media M&A Leads to Social Media Q&A

The merger of Mzinga and Prospero has been dutifully covered already this morning by Chris Brogan, Scott Monty and others. I’ve familiar with both of these companies, although not intimately. From the top level this looks like a no-brainer good deal, but time will tell, as it does with all mergers. The reason I’m most interested in all of this is the fact that the executives from the companies are doing a Q&A as I type on Twitter. The hash tag is #mz…go check it out right now.

I’ll be back to give a recap, not necessarily on what was said, but on how effective Twitter is as a platform for this type of engagement.

    The use of Twitter as a virtual press conference room this morning is fascinating to me too, Kyle, and I’m going to try and get an interview about with a couple of players later today. Yet another creative use of this online social network.
