I agree. I have hundreds of RSS feeds that I never, never read. It's the same with my Tivo. I record all these tv shows then never watch any of them. There isn't enough time in the day/week/month. Editing the information available to me has become one of the more important tasks I do each day...

Hey Kyle:

Great post. RSS feeds are the worst for me. I always want to read all 400 i follow.

It is easy to suffer from overload, in the real world and online. I have also taken steps to ration my social media time to focus more time and myself and the home life. I try to keep the computer reserved for minimal use on the wknds...I miss a few things, but ultimately I'll find the important things :)

I'm curious as well...I've always been a person who had to put numerical limits on myself, so I'm hoping this helps make me more productive.

Interesting steps here, Kyle. I haven't put firm numerical limits on events I attend, feeds I read, etc., although I have cut down significantly, as I pointed out in a comment to your previous post. I cull my feeds and event-going more by gut than anything else.

Curious to know how this approach works for you.
