The Camel is Right About Bloggers
Hat tip over to Christina Greene for posting this Common Craft-esque video. I’ve posted Common Craft stuff in the past of course, but this one is really interesting because it was produced with Darren Barefoot and Julie Szabo for their book “Getting to First Base - A Social Media Marketing Playbook” (they humorously apologize in the liner notes on YouTube for their “awful imitation”).
The book can be found on their site, Social Media Ready (you already know that because you watched the video, right?). I cruised through the site a bit, although I’m still supposed to be on vacation, and as you are going through it all you have that moment where you smack yourself on the head and say…”Why didn’t I think of this?”. Darren and Julie are definitely onto something, I’m looking forward to reading more when I’m back at work.

Thanks. It’s just fun! That’s what I like about it so much. Outreach can be so boring and mundane. Spice it up a bit!!

You are SO right Christina, if we don’t wrap our messages into creativity we will struggle to communicate with the right people. It’s why I hope to see more storytelling in 2008, personally and professionally.
