One thing I hear from a lot of people is that the rise of Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other social media platforms creates a disconnect between human-to-human connection. I fight against this very strongly because these platforms have really helped me connect with folks, online and off, that I never would have met otherwise.
Today, however the true power of how something like Twitter connects me to people was on display and it took me by surprise. Learning about where people were that day six years ago, who they miss, how their lives have changed…wow.
